My First Virgin Voyages Cruise: Top Things I'm Excited About
As a travel advisor and avid cruiser, I am always on the lookout for new and exciting experiences to share with my clients. This year, I am thrilled to embark on my first Virgin Voyages cruise to celebrate a friends 40th birthday, and I can't wait to dive into all that this innovative cruise line has to offer. Here are the top things I am most excited about:
Adult-Only: As a parent, sometimes you just want a kid-free vacay. Need I say more?
Private Beach Club in Bimini: I have heard amazing thing for their private island in Bimini, Bahamas. I love the a cruise line private islands and one that caters to adults, sign me up. The cruise line also stays at the Bimini Beach Club late. We will have the opportunity to get off the ship at night and enjoy bonfires and nightime beach vibes…That is if we aren’t too tired from a fun day at the beach club!
Not your typical cruise dining: No formal main dining rooms, no upcharges for speciality dining and no buffets. Virigin is doing cruise food totally different. With over 20 eateries on board, ranging from casual to upscale, and many created by Michelin star chefs, I am excited to experience a different food scene on a cruise.
Cool cabins: Virgin Voyages prides itself on offering stylish and modern staterooms designed with comfort in mind. The cabins feature innovative design elements, including mood lighting and clever storage solutions. I am especially excited about the rain shower and hammock on each balcony.
Wellness and Fitness: While I can’t promise I will hit up a workout class on the ship, I am intrigued at the cool workout classes that come with all cruise fares. Yoga, boxing, cycling, and the outdoor gym all sound like they could be fun to try.
Connecting with other travelers: Meeting cruise friends is the best. Most people that go on a cruise are up for meeting people and this is often a highlight of my trip. This trip is no exception!
